Live Events Production (Music Gigs Ual Level 3)

Context /Proposal
My Plan as a  production Arts student is to do something different, I decided on a music gig. I took time by researching on Google search engines on how I will use lighting equipment for this live music performance. As a lighting designer I will ensure that I have an excellent choice, for example, has it got enough lights in theatre what mood colours I  put through the stage to create an atmosphere and a setting for a certain feeling or emotion that is being presented. Furthermore, I will ask the music teachers if and what music they believe will be popular and effective to present, my idea is focused around the 80s and 70s, however, rock and jazz would be a great choice for people to enjoy with their friends and families.
who is watching the live performance, (for example, age and ethnicity) and who will be performing the music will also give me a better understand of how the lighting should be ran through out the performance.

To ensure the day goes as good as it can, I will be making  sure that everything on the actual day is perfectly set up and prepared, I will also be asking the music teachers about the possibility of giving out bottled water and soft drinks during the music performance, I have decided to do this because all students would ideally need a break from the work, as performing live is not easy, and the lights can cause dehydration during the performance, so to keep the students hydrates, energised and ready to carry on with the gig (which take place on a Friday 31st May/June 2019). I am going to leave a note for myself regarding the lighting cues, this will be for the beginning of the gig until the ending, this will make it much easier for me to understand and manage, it will also help me understand how the performance will look. I will record changes of moods that stand out. The LED (light emitting diodes) lights we have in the theatre are Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and white.

I was looking at videos on YouTube about a professional lighting designers/ Technician. He explains how to place males or females on stage,  and how the change and reflection I will be using on the day creates a certain effect.

This lighting desk equipment that I am using is the first time that I will be learning what elements to use in the theatre, with guidance from my tutor, and or YouTube which I watched most of the videos clips about the music gigs lighting technician that I discovered this source by myself this as inspired me a lot because ever expected good information on internet to understand the concept of any kind lighting designers could be a males or females so the videos that got me thinking to look at was learn stage lighting, Guy's sound and lighting, stagecraft book where most of my sources was found in the theatre book researched it I kept reading the lighting equipment on how to use it on the lighting desk and it gave me idea on how could I practice more by lighting reflection towards the stage for it example one person is on main stage and lower ground stage which had a better view on how music gigs in the college works.

 Then my tutor  told me that there will be a lighting technician coming in today in theatre to sure that everything is fixed properly. and he showed me a lot of new things which I didn't know myself therefore he told me I did an excellent job of using the lighting desk. And then Tuesday I was in theatre with the lighting technician showed me a lot of areas in the lighting desk equipment there names was stage lighting -Selecon acclaim profile, stage lighting-Selecon acclaim Fresnel.

Problem solving 
Day of the music gig performance which took place in college 
theatre. My  main focus was doing the lighting  for music students that were performing on two stages which are both called concert stage design it means is a professional performance platform and equipment for concert stages need to the strength to withstand the rigors of touring. From substantial stage setups, for small events, staging concepts designs and builds versatile production equipment to completely meet your specific staging needs. Also when I was using the lighting desk therefore I wasn't working by myself on that day guidance and support that worked with me was a professional lighting Technician he showed me on the lighting desk colours that use were pink, purple, yellow and red. Even I use the solaspot  because one of the music student decide to put on projector it looked  amazing how stand out through stage. Reminds me of 80s concerts how it was during those day  therefore the music teacher gave me a list of the performers who are sing and playing instruments  to insure that most of the lighting effects would know that music students wanted on that day but I kept same the colours from beginning till ending from music performance. and lighting desk was called etc Gio@5 lighting console. and afterwards we had to take break during the music performance and then only took 15 minutes so other music student will have to enter stage then I put the houselights down even the colours were good to use in any kind of music performances that take place in college theatre. and when the music performance in afternoon was finish I had to do the evening performance is well and most of the music students enjoyed the lighting background techniques area of the theatre was produced. and one music student didn't really enjoy it . and  myself I said to her I  like those lighting colours mood even the were excellent presented towards the audience.  My strength and experience was using the lighting desk is quite similar to Allen and heath qu 32 sound desk.

Live events production in the music gigs I took my time researching on google search engines on how I will use lighting equipment for this live music performance. As a lighting designer will have an excellent choice in what mood colours I put through the stage to show the audience how their reaction will be like on that day. And all the music students spoken to me that their genre of music has to be clear what it means is that there should be no swearing, Racism, gang violence as well. On YouTube, I looked at so many videos about how to use a lighting desk their name was Zomboy -my first gig at red rocks! lighting, programming festival lighting positions{time-lapse, Band lighting setup on a (Mid-size)Budget two, Production lighting and sound gig log -By Guy's sound and light. and I went to the college library to look around and then I  asked the librarian if they have a book about technical theatre on lighting information sources I am hope to use some of these ideas in my project.

Evaluation 

I am going to watch a film music gigs to assent sound quality and lighting also record the things went well? and things. and what could I improve on the future productions in college . And my skills were in lighting desk equipment was very good because I knew what to do. Most technical areas for it example colours mood were pink, Yellow, purple,Red, and solar pot to make the audience happy  throughout music performance. and then music students wanted there lighting to look like on that day. and whereas the things I could improve by using a notebook wiring  down all the cues list were produced throughout day  on the lighting desk ask more question to the music students and teachers about what type of lighting they want?. and I am going to created music diagram in Microsoft word on the computer.  The technician will do mainly doing the front of house lower ground stage. So that he can volume frequency from the music students performing on microphones and most music students didn't really do a sound check which is not good because I am expecting music students vocal warm-up to sure that to hear there voices.

 And for future productions in theatre,I will be interesting doing the front of house sound for all performance that takes place in the theatre.I will always be communicated with the production arts teachers by emailing them or arranging a meeting with them to make commutation easier. I want to progress my ability on the sound desk  more because therefore  I would like to learn more information to sort out the mixing effects quality every performance that takes place in theatre, outside college events summer festivals for level 3 performance year 2.  
There concept is music gigs performance multi -staged therefore original  ideas was that music students where two stages. One of the main stage other acoustic but the students decide they wanted all to be together in one main stage.  and this impact on final performances.
